At Out of China, our gyozas and dimsum aren't a gluten-free adaptation. They're simply made the way we've always made them at home.
Our family is from southern China, a region where rice is everything. Rice flour has always been the base of our dough — not because we set out to make a "special" version, but because it's the original recipe, the one we learned from our parents, and they from theirs.
When we opened Out of China in 2002, we weren't thinking about labels. We cooked like we do at home. Over time, we realised that our way of cooking — rice-based, wheat-free — was a gift for so many people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance who had spent years unable to enjoy Chinese food without worry.
Today we're proud to be listed on Celiacs Catalunya and to be a place where you can enjoy dimsum, gyozas or wok dishes without a second thought. Not because we adapted anything — but because it was always this way.
